i have re installed Microsoft Flight Simulator X

and i am having some issues, after about 15 to 30 minutes of game play, the game freezes, then crashes, then a box pops up telling me fatal error.
i have tried several things, including turning down some of the graphics, unfortunately nothing works, the game freezes and crashes and does the same thing every time.
my computer is quite old, i have had it for about 2 years or so and its been ran quite frequently, maybe its just beacuse the computer is old, computer seems to meet system requirements, in fact i can remember being able to play Microsoft flight simulator X for hours at a time, and have no issues at all!
do you guys have any idea what the issue may be and how i can fix it?
